The My Health Record opt out date has been extended to 31 January 2019.

Come along to this “Last Chance” information session just one day before the opt out deadline to learn out about the benefits and risks of My Health Record and work out what’s right for you.

My Health Record is intended to put health consumers in control of their health care by keeping track of important health information all in one place. But there have been community concerns about risks to privacy and data security.

What does My Health Record mean for you, and what is the impact of the My Health Records Amendment (Strengthening Privacy) Bill 2018 passed in November?

Experts and patients from Health Consumers NSW and the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) will discuss:
- What does this mean for doctors and health consumers
- My Health Record privacy and system security
- The potential legal implications for people living with chronic health diagnoses including people who inject drugs (PWID) and people who live with a criminal history or are involved with the criminal justice system.

Wednesday, 30 January 2019, 11:00am – 1:00pm
Venue: Mitchell Theatre, Lvl 1 290 Pitt Street Sydney
