INCLUSION COMMUNITY DAY AND ACTIVATIONS AT SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK TO MARK INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY: 3-7 December 2018


International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) will be marked at Sydney Olympic Park with a program of FREE participatory and creative activities from Monday 3 to Friday 7 December 2018 (inclusive).

The program is an initiative of Sydney Olympic Park Authority in partnership with a number of Western Sydney community service organisations, and from 10am-2pm daily at Jacaranda Square (near Olympic Park Station / opposite the Coffee Club) activities will include:

All days
• Ability Links Creative disability inclusion games and information
• Community Migrant Resource Centre Beyond Diversity cultural Inclusion activities and information
• Achieve Australia Christmas decoration making workshops
• Achieve Australia vintage items, fabrics and patterns pop-up stall – get your holiday gifts!
• Hills Community Aid Including You Tent display for great inclusive community events
• Bridj On-demand shuttle bus display and information – transport for accessible places
• Beyond disability and diversity information exhibition
• Access and inclusion videos screening

Specific days only
• Sensory guided tour of Sydney Olympic Park - 10.30am & 11.30am (booking essential) 3 Dec only
• Wetlands in a box sensory activity 3 Dec only
• Disability Sports information and activities by Disability Sports Australia 3 Dec only
• Accessible Arts Drum Circle – learn drum patterns with 16 Drums – 12 to 1pm 3 & 7 Dec only
• Flourish Australia workplace mental health & wellbeing information and activities 3 & 4 Dec only
• Ability Links Blind cricket 4 & 6 Dec only
• Leep digital literacy and volunteering for inclusion information and activities 5 Dec only
